We are so excited to announce our 8 week series on the 8 limbs of yoga!

What are the 8 limbs of yoga?

The 8 limbs of yoga are guidelines on how to live a mindful life. The philosophy of yoga is beautiful and ancient - one of the earliest written records of the 8 limbs comes from the Indian sage Patanjali, who lived sometime between 500 BCE and 400 CE. While modern yoga focuses mainly on the asanas (physical poses), these are just one of the eight limbs!

To be good stewards of yoga in 2020 and beyond, it is vital for us to honor and remember yoga's roots. In that light, the next 8 weeks we will focus on each limb in turn as we think about the mindful yoga company we wish to create by unionizing.
